Every private client begins with three foundational lessons:
Lesson 1: Foot Contacts and Relaxed Breathing
Establish foot contacts, improve breathing awareness, and identify positions that restore expansion without forcing the breath.
Lesson 2: Foot Contacts, Reaching, and Abdominal Integration
Introduce reaching and abdominal activity to improve circumferential breathing and help the client maintain expansion as physical and vocal demands increase.
Lesson 3: Upright Integration, Breathing, and Singing
Integrate breathing and singing in upright positions. The client learns how to use re-expansion and reorganization activities before singing and when vocal fatigue begins.
These lessons may be completed weekly or spread over several weeks. Although the package contains three sessions, each lesson can function as a broader phase when a client needs more time before progressing.
By the end of the foundation, the client should have:
A personalized physical and vocal warm-up
Specific releases targeting their individual physical or vocal limiter
Activities that improve circumferential breathing
Greater awareness of changes in breathing and vocal quality
A method for recognizing when reorganization is necessary
Re-expansion activities that help restore breathing control
A strategy for mitigating vocal fatigue before continuing to sing
A starting plan for applying these tools to vocal exercises and repertoire
